RIP Jeanne Moreau – Classic New Midlife Woman
Last year we heard of the death of Jeanne Moreau.
She was, to my mind, one of the best examples of a powerful but feminine midlife woman, both in the roles she played and in her independent minded personal life.
You have to be ‘of a certain age’, as the French say, to remember her breakthrough portrayal of an independent minded midlife woman in the 1962 film ‘Jules et Jim’ – see pictures.
It could be said she broke the mould and set the tone for the new woman of that time.
Even today is a wonderful model for the New Midlife Woman.
She famously said: ‘Age is no protector against Love, but Love is to some extent a protector against Age’. It kept her going until she was 89!
Those who remember her films will treasure the memories forever.

My First Radio Interview
Just did my first radio interview about my book, Love Sex and the Midlife Woman, and the New Midlife Woman Community on Salford City Radio.
Not as daunting as I feared thanks to the cool professionalism Dena and Bonnie.
Click here or on the picture for the recording. It is only just over 8 minutes long.
